Due to advancements in technology, nowadays many companies are launching a new line of earbuds that have active noise cancellation features. It is now very common for the latest and upcoming earbuds to have an active noise cancellation feature. Earlier the ANC feature used to have a negative impact on the performance of the earbuds as it was draining out the battery life of the earbuds. But now after various technological developments companies are successfully fixing the issue. They have worked to increase the battery life of the earbuds without even affecting the ANC performance of the earbuds.
Today many companies claim that their earbuds are the best in the market and offer the best features, this makes it harder for you to choose the best earbuds according to your preference.
If you go on the internet and search for the best earbuds with active noise cancelling, you will get many results that can end up confusing you more.
For example, if you are looking for a reliable pair of earbuds then you will go for the brands that you have already used and have enough faith in their quality. It is widely accepted that companies with more reputation in the market have better products. Mainly Apple’s Airpods Pro is considered one of the best earbuds with great ANC features, but they are very expensive. Now you can get the same ANC features at a relatively affordable price in the form of SoundLiberty Pro P10 by TaoTronics. This gives you a similar experience to the Apple Airpods Pro but in a budget-friendly option.
Today we are going to review the latest TaoTronics earbud, which has a competitive price of $50 in this overly saturated market of ANC earbuds. In my opinion, the main objective of TaoTronics is to produce ANC earbuds on a low budget for those customers who don’t want to spend too much money on the high-priced earbuds but still want to experience the ANC feature. They have tried to make a compelling marketing strategy. Now let’s take a closer look at these wireless SoundLiberty Pro P10 earbuds and know all about them both good and bad.
Taotronics SoundLiberty Pro P10 Features Review
The SoundLiberty Pro P10 build quality is decent with no fancy looks. It doesn’t have a very outstanding look, the texture of the earbuds is very smooth and are prone to scratches. The scratches can be seen easily due to their glossy black finish. There is a chance that the earbud can slip from your hand if it is a little oily. So it is recommended to handle it cautiously.
The SoundLiberty Pro P10 has a compact size and can be easily carried around. They fit perfectly in the ears and feel good. The earbuds have a stemmed design with an oval-shaped housing. The earbuds have an indented circle on the top that makes them easier to access. The manufacturers have given the earbuds a glossy black finish to make them look a little premium rather than looking like two pieces of plastic. They have created the earbud design bottom-heavy, to prevent it from falling out from your ears while working out, running or jumping. But it is better to get the best size of earbuds according to your ear size. TaoTronics provides the earbud with 3 different sizes of ear tips. Customers can use any size as per their comfortability.
The TaoTronics earbud has dedicated touch controls that can be used to control music. You can play or pause songs, change tracks, control volume, answer and end calls and can enable the ANC feature. They have also added voice assistant commands, the voice assistant commands will activate when you press the right earbud for 2 seconds. The SoundLiberty Pro P10 has added gyroscopes for automatic ear detection. This feature will automatically pause the music, turn off ANC as well as the touch controls if you take them out of your ears.
IPX8 Water Resistant
SoundLiberty Pro P10 earbuds come with an IPX8 water resistance rating that is the highest level of water resistance a device can have. IPX7 earbuds can be submerged into 3 meters deep water while IPX8 can go deeper than 3 meters.
The charging case of the SoundLiberty Pro P10 increases the playback time by more than double. For the charging case, the same plastic is used as in the earbuds. After opening the charging case there is a LED light on the front side that blinks and it stops blinking once you take out both the earbuds. The charging will start again when you put the earbuds back into the case. The logo of the company is designed on the front side of the charging case. It charges by a Type-C USB cable that comes with the earbuds. It takes about 2 hours for the earbuds to get fully charged.
There is a reset button at the back of the charging case. If you face any kind of malfunctions regarding the earbud’s Bluetooth connectivity you can place both the earbuds back in the case then press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds until the status indicator on the case flashes white. There is no battery indicator on the charging case so it is hard to know how much the earbud is charged. TaoTronics claims that in 100% charge you can listen to nonstop music for up to 9.5hrs. If you listen to music in full volume the earbuds will give you around 7-8 hours of playtime. It is better than other wireless earbuds in the market. ANC feature drains 30% more battery than normal listening settings. So approximately you can get around 5-6 hours of listening time on one charge. The charging case on the other hand provides an extra 2.5 times charge with a single plugin. With ANC the charging case works up to 24hrs and without ANC it works around 33hrs. You can easily take the earbuds for traveling without worrying about charging them again and again.
The SoundLiberty Pro P10 has the latest version of the Bluetooth 5.2 wireless protocol. Some of the main features of it are lower latency, higher bandwidth, and better stability than the previous version. The earbuds reduce the latency to almost zero as they receive the audio directly from the source instead of from the master earbuds. The new Bluetooth 5.2 version might not work if your smartphone doesn’t support the 5.2 Bluetooth version. It will utilize 5.0 or 4.2 older versions in that case.
The SoundLiberty Pro P10 earbuds contain 9mm drivers with PU and PEEK composite diaphragms that are larger than average earbud drivers. The larger drivers help in providing better bass than other drivers. The earbuds produce well-balanced audio with refined details.
The sound profile is great for bass lovers but it might be a poor choice for classical and country music lovers. While listening to the music you can easily differentiate between different instruments due to the good sound clarity.
The ANC works great and reduces the background noise to around 38db which is quite remarkable. We have checked the anti-wind mode and you will be surprised by how well it works.
In the Anti-wind mode, the sound is enhanced to reduce the noise from the rustling breeze when outside or in a vehicle. If you are outside you can easily feel the difference between anti-wind mode and normal one.
There is an “Ambient Sound Mode“. It is a model that helps you in listening to your surroundings. You can navigate through all modes by pressing and holding the touch button for 2 seconds in the left earbud. You can also activate the voice assistant by pressing the touch button for 2 seconds on the right earbud
TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10 has an enhanced call clarity. It has 3 noise-cancelling microphones, one facing inward to receive your voice and the other two facing outward suppressing the background noise.

After the review, The TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10 ANC wireless earbuds are worthy for those who love listening to more bass. The battery drains quickly if you listen to music with ANC mode on. They have an IPX8 rating so you can use them underwater too. The ultra-low latency makes them a great choice for gaming purposes.
