Redmi Earbuds S vs Redmi Airdots
Redmi Earbuds S has Bluetooth 5.0, and its data transmission capacity is more than Redmi Airdots revealed in my review. It also has a faster and more stable connection. Xiaomi added a new low-latency game mode in S model which can be activated by pressing a button on the earbuds three times. Earbuds S has Dual- Earbuds mode which means right and left earbuds are paired at the same time with your phone/PC/tablet as they are single-unit whereas Airdots where first pair either the right or left earbud with your device. They both have the same round, oval design, and weight. Both product’s weight is 4.1 grams. Overall, both have almost the same design and functions.

Redmi Earbuds S Wireless features review
The Redmi Earbuds S are small, round oval-shaped earbuds. They also have LED lights when the earbuds are charging the LED glow red color, and when they are completely charged, the LED glow white and blink white light when they are in pairing mode. The Xiaomi S is light and comfortable to wear they fit inside your ear easily. Each one of them is about 4.1 grams which is lighter than an A4 paper. The earbuds have silicone tips and charging contact. The earbuds come with two medium-Sized silicone tips and include both large and small ear tips in the box. Due to silicone tips and small shape, the earbuds fit securely and don’t fall while working out sessions. The earbuds have IPX4 for water resistance. Overall built quality is decent at a price.
The Redmi Earbuds S is a comfortable pair of earphones. They fit perfectly in your ear without feeling like they would fall out. The rubber ear tips also have a small amount of noise isolation.
The Redmi S has a 43 mAh battery in each earbud while the charging case has a 300 mAh battery. The earbuds can be used for up to 4 hours continuously on a single charge, and it takes 2 hours for a full charge.
The Xiaomi Earbuds S support Bluetooth 5.0. They can not be used with 2 devices at a time. The Bluetooth 5.0 connection means both earbuds are connected directly to your phone. You can also use any one earbuds for calls and music without missing any beat. The Xiaomi S supports the standard SBC codec which is common in this budget and it has no pairing app. You just pair them directly, and sound just will be done from the connected device only.
The bass of Redmi Earbuds S is high but more in the mid-bass and high-bass regions. The Earbuds S is powered by 7.2 mm drivers. The earbuds have punchy bass, muddled mids, and clean highs. Even they can be only connected with the SBC Bluetooth audio codec. You will also not face any issues during the calls. The earbuds can get pretty loud at max volume. Its sound bass is good when compared to other brand wireless earbuds in this price range. The microphone of Earbuds S is just above the average as compared to other brands’ wireless earbuds.
Xiaomi S comes in a small, round oval-shaped design charging case that has a black matte finish and small Redmi branding on the lid. The case support a micro-USB port for charging. On the front, it has a small red LED that shows charging status. The case uses two pogo pins for each earbud to charge them.
