We live in an era where technology is evolving at an exponential rate. One of the modern technology that one just can’t stay away from is phones. A device that was once used for calling to catch up with friends in a long-distance, Is now used as professional cameras, conducting business activities, storing memories, games, etc. Different cell phone leading companies are coming up with ways to make life easier, at your fingertip. One of the new entries in this competitive market is the rumored OnePlus 9RT.

The OnePlus number series is the longest-running series for the brand. From the OnePlus one all the way to the new launching OnePlus 9RT. According to the leaks, it is claimed that the new 9RT with the code named ‘martini’ is set to be launched in October and the released date would reveal shortly after.

Although there is no word from OnePlus about the new 9RT yet, leaks claimed that the smartphone’s tentative launch date is October 15.

What may come off as surprising (to some) or disappointing (to some) is the limited availability of the 9RT. Sources claim that the phone will only be available in the markets of China and India, avoiding the American and European markets where the phone might not make a headline.

OnePlus 9RT Features Review

If you want to know how the new 9RT will run then just take a close look at the previous OnePlus 9R, the 9RT is quite similar to the 9R in performance and other areas.

The OnePlusT phones were quite the trendsetters when released. The OnePlus T phones used to experiment with new designs and colours. For instance, the OnePlus 8T had a flattened display while thickening the device to fit the larger battery and cooling vents. There is no information to suggest that the 9RT would be different. According to sources, OnePlus will bring back the same flat, 6.55 inches panel as before.

If there are any designs changes expected, it is expected to be with the camera module. As with the previous model, OnePlus kept the same design as 8T with the 9R with adjustment done to the camera module. The 9R camera module is a bit wide and crowded than the 8T module, but since the 9RT is expected to have a new camera it is possible that the design of the camera module might be different from the previous models of the phone. The rumours for the colour option for the 9RT is black and blue for now.

As we know that the 9RT is similar in many ways to the 9R. Just like the 9R that was expected to have a glass back and a plastic frame. The previously cancelled 9R model was supposedly waterproof but with no water resistance. So the 9RT is also expected to have some water protection but not enough to play around with near a pool.

Accordingly, The OnePlus dual stereo speaker system and the in-screen fingerprint sensor is expected to return too.

The 9R was categorized as a gamer phone, meaning a phone for gamers. It had a core hardware capability of handling games well with the snapdragon 870 chipsets. As said Like the 9R, the 9RT will also have the Snapdragon 870 chipset. The change in the 9RT is that the phone 870 chipsets will have the higher binning meaning it will run faster, but could also run slightly hotter. With the 870 chipsets, which seemed primed for gaming needs. The new OnePlus 9RT could also be categorized as a gamer phone. The biggest highlight of the 9RT is, it’s the first OnePlus phone to run Android 12-based or OxygenOS 12. The OxygenOS 12 would bring some major changes to the OnePlus phones in performances and the 9RT is the first that will get the stable build. With OxygenOS 12, OnePlus can give the audience the “game-ry version” with special themes and gaming tools with the 9RT

Now, this is for those pro gamers and photographers, The upcoming competitor is rumored to have an 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, enough to download premium games, storing memories and saving files. Like the previous models, it has a non-removable Li-Po 4500 Mah battery with 65W fast charging. Like the 9R, it is speculated to have the same 6.55 inch Samsung e3 Full Hd+ super AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, perfect to please the eyes with details in the games and also for movies. It has a 120HZ refresh rate and a corning Gorilla glass 5 protection in the front and the back with an aluminium frame for those clumsy and easily frustrated gamers.

To all the photographers and selfie lovers out there, This phone might be the one for you. The OnePlus upcoming launch will have a triple-camera setup which includes a 50MP Primary main camera, the main camera has a sensor as the OnePlus Nord 2. The 50MP SONY IMX766 lens with image stabilization is accompanied by a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens for those wide-angle shots of nature. It has a 5MP macro lens and 2MP monochrome camera with LED flash with an image resolution of 8150 x 6150 pixels providing very clear details in the image. For those pouty and fun selfies, the front camera of the smartphone has a 16MP selfie camera.

Moreover, it features Mobile Hotspot, Dual SIM support, Dual 4G voLTE, 5G, NFC, A-GPS with Glonass, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, and the latest version 5.1 Bluetooth.

One route to determine the price of the OnePlus 9RT is to compare the price of the previous devices of the company. The phones with snapdragon 870 start from Rs 30,000 in India(on average). The OnePlus 9 is in the 40,000 to 55,000 range. Now of course the price for a phone that provides a better software system and a high-quality camera will be somewhere around the ranges of the previous product or slightly expensive than the previous ones. Although there is no fixed pricing information on the new 9RT, it is rumoured to be in the ranges of Rs 40,000 and up.

OnePlus has a chance to step up their game in the market with the new launch in their number series, the OnePlus 9RT. OnePlus has some very devoted consumers due to its fair range of price with features of a phone from a top-notch phone company. It will be interesting to see how the consumers will react to the new release after the release of the long-awaited 9R. This phone would be an opportunity for OnePlus to gain back attention as it did back in 2017 with the OnePlus 7T. An opportunity to still stay valuable in the market. The previous OnePlus 9R is one the top-selling device for the brand driving its market dominance, considering the new 9RT is similar to the 9R but with a better performance and software system, it is a new chance for the company to prove it’s a phone worth buying.

The preorders for the phone have started and the wait for the new release is soon coming to an end.
