Advantages: The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphone 700 is very comfortable with impressive noise cancellation and the best headphone for phone calls. Its sound is little better than Quiet Comfort 35 II. These have many stunning features including hand free Alexa, Bose AR, adjustable noise cancellation, USB-C charging, transparency mode, and it works without power.
Drawbacks: It is a little more costly than its competitors, and the QuietComfort 35 II is a little more comfortable. The battery life of Bose noise cancelling is not as good as its competitors.
Conclusion: Overall it is not far better than QC 35 II, but Bose noise cancelling 700 offers better sound, noise cancelling function, and impressive sound quality.

Bose 700 vs QuietComfort 35 II
Everyone was waiting for the new Bose noise-canceling headphone 700 after the success of the previous model QuietComfort 35 II. The QuietComfort series is the most loved and successful flagship of Bose on-ear wireless Headphones. Its noise cancellation performance is top-notch, It blocks out the distractive surrounding noises, hence loved by flight travelers and open-office employees. Some may not like to shift from the QuietComfort flagship but the new Bose Headphone 700 triple black model is stunning with its new unique features.
The Bose 700 is $50 costlier than the QuietComfort model and Sony WH-1000XM3. Ignoring the new design and hike in price for a moment, Boss noise cancelling headphone 700 has better performance than the previous model and comes out as the Best headphones for making calls.
Bose has tried to cut down the weight of headphones previously. But Bose 700 weighs 254 grams which is heavier than the QuietComfort 35 II and you can feel the difference. The new Bose 700 model is as comfortable as QuietComfort 35 II, surely it gives a totally different feel.
The inside material of the Bose 700 headband is made of rubberized soft material filled with air for extra cushioning and comfort. Rubber doesn’t absorb sweat which is good for a long life. Whereas, QuietComfort 35 II inside the headband has foam material which is covered with quality cloth for its cushioning.
Overall, Bose headphones 700 is more durable than other wireless noise cancelling headphones and comfortable but QuietComfort 35 II and Sony WH-1000XM3 feels a little better. The metallic part of the headband doesn’t seem much resistant for scratches and may get scraped if rubbed against any metallic object. Hence it’ll be better if stored in a protective carrying case.
Stylish New Design
Bose Noise Cancelling Headphone 700 is totally a brand new headphone from inside and outside. The outside look is new and magnificent, unlike QuietComfort’s the plastic headband, Bose 700 headband is made of single stainless steel that gives it a strong and rugged look, but due to its single seamless steel design it can’t be folded, Hence simply place them into protective carrying case after use. The Bose 700 protective case is larger than the Bose QuietComfort 35 II case.
Some people will like the seamless single-piece design and some may like the previous foldable version with a smaller case. Bose 700 protective case has a little compartment for USB-C charger and extra cable for wired listening. It has a smaller port of 2.5 mm.

Best Headphone For Making Calls
Bose has the best headphone’s voice communication features and is highly promoted. The sound quality is slightly better than the QuietComfort 35 II and relevantly better headphones for making calls. The new multi-microphones are magnificent, it isolates your voice from the noise surrounding and reduces the disrupting outside noise to better your call experience and make sure you’re heard clearly. It has impressive voice assistant functions, it supports Siri, Google’s Assistant and Alexa, which works perfectly in noise surrounding because of stunning multi-microphone and understands your command better.
It has an adjustable sidetone feature in the headphone that lets you hear your voice on call to restrain you for talking too loud. The QuietComfort 35 II sidetone feature was not up to the mark but it is impressive in this new model.
Bose 700 Music App for Android and iOS
The Bose’s Music companion app is compatible with both iOS and Android, you can select the assistant you want and access it with a push-button the same as QuietComfort model. Smooth Touch Controls with Transparency Mode
Bose has come up with the touch controls in a headphone for the first time. The touch controls are on the right earcups. There was a little drawback with Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones that it used to not work properly in cold weather, Bose noise cancelling headphones 700 have fixed that problem. These touch controls will also work perfectly in cold weather.
Previously, Bose didn’t use to offer many customizable settings, but with new Bose 700, it has changed slightly. Now you can adjust noise-canceling level in Bose Music app and with the push button on headphones. The push-button is specially designed to adjust between low, high, and zero noise-canceling modes. The zero noise cancelling mode is referred to as true transparency mode by Bose.
Transparency mode works excellently, turning on transparency mode allows you to hear the outside noise the same as your ears would hear normally. You can turn on transparency mode by holding the noise-canceling button and talking to someone while wearing headphones, it can be defined as the best headphones for work from home purposes. This feature is the same as Sony’s quick attention feature except you have to touch the noise cancelling button to resume the music.
Interesting Additional Features
The company has added Bose AR feature, company’s Audio-augmented reality platform and says they will add more features in the coming future. The headphones sound is customizable which includes an equalizer to adjust sound as your preference. The Dynamic Transparency mode allows us to hear the outside world but also reduces the disrupting sound like traffic and sirens.
The Noise Masking feature creates white noise to block out the outside noises without listening to music and helps you concentrate. Bose says these features will be added soon.
Bose Noise Cancellation vs Sony
Bose and Sony have always been in competition for its superior noise-cancelling from past few years. Sony performs little better with its WH-1000XM3 model. The noise cancellation of Bose 700 is little better than the QuietComfort 35 II. Bose 700 noise cancelling is as good as the Sony WH-1000XM3. You may like one over the other more basis of your preferences but still both are equally top-notch.
If you are sensitive to the noise cancellation technology, Bose has the push button for adjusting the noise cancellation level, Sony also has it but you have to adjust the level through the app and you also have to turn off the adaptive sound control. Bose got the advantage here for having a push button on the ear cup for adjusting the noise cancellation level.
There are many noise cancelling headphones available in the market. But the first thing we think after seeing the Bose Noise Cancelling headphone 700 is that it is better than the Sony WH-1000XM3 or not. It is better than Sony in some ways and somewhere it can be improved.
Better Sound Quality
Bose has improvised the sound quality in the new model. The Bose noise-canceling headphone 700 has better sound quality, smooth clarity, and bass definition than the QuietComfort 35 II. The Sony headphones are a better pick for listening to Hip-hop and electronic dance music, whereas Boss has better sound clarity for listening to jazz and classical music.
