- You must first download and then run the software on your computer.
- Make sure you’ve installed Backuptrans Android iPhone SMS Transfer + on your computer before connecting your Android/iPhone or both via USB cable.
- Then, the software will automatically identify and display the connected devices on the list of devices.
Note: Ensure that iTunes 10.0 or above is on your computer and that “iCloud Backup” is disabled on your iPhone before running this software. In addition, if your iPhone is password-protected, you must type in the correct passcode.

How to backup all text messages from Android to computer?
Step 1: Select Android from the Devices menu on the left.
Step 2: Press the “Backup SMS to Local Database” button on the toolbar or select File -> Backup SMS to Local Database from the menu to save the SMS. Alternatively, right-click the Android device in the Devices list and select “Backup SMS from this Android to Local Database”.

If you only want to back up messages for a single contact, right-click on the contact name and select “Backup SMS with this contact to Local Database.”
How to backup all text messages from iPhone to computer?
Step 1: Select iPhone from the Devices menu on the left.
Step 2: Press the “Backup SMS to Local Database” button on the toolbar or select File -> Backup SMS to Local Database from the menu to save the SMS. Alternatively, right-click the iPhone device in the Devices list and select “Backup SMS from this iPhone to Local Database”.

Choose a database where messages will be saved. Simply enter a new database name to create a new database for your Android/iPhone. To proceed, click Confirm.
