The Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones are better built and sound remarkably impressive than the Beats studio by Dre Studio. The one issue with the ATH-M50 Model was that it was studio-style headphones and not much good for regular use.

The “M” stands for the monitor in the ATH-M50, still many people were using it on the go. An in-built microphone would have been a great addition to it.

You get two straight cables of size 3 meter (9.8 feet) and 1.2 meter (3.9 feet) and one coiled cable of 1.2 meter – 3 meter (3.9-9.8 feet). The sad thing is none of these is for integrating a microphone or remote.

The extra cushioned ear cups which makes it more comfortable. The headphones fold flat in the carrying case. The soft carrying case is only for storage purposes.

These headphones weigh 283 grams, which is not light but they fit securely and are comfortable to wear. These are over-ear headphones, so you should not wear them continuously for much longer hours, it can make your ears warm or sweaty. So you should take it off in a while for a few minutes.

The Audio Technica ATH-M50x doesn’t have Active Noise Cancellation. It has Passive Noise Cancellation which shuts down the good amount of surrounding noises. The noise reduction is not top-notch but these are the good alternatives for Bose QuietComfort 35 II, for the people who have sensitive ears and feel little pressure of Active Noise Cancellation.
