- The AirPods Pro has an ultracompact, also lightweight, noise-isolating and even sweatproof design that fits more ears and also delivers better bass and overall sound than the original AirPods.
- Their active noise-canceling reduces all the ambient noise and also they have a transparency mode to let in sound.
- Headset performance when making calls is very top-notch.
- The main case supports wireless charging, and also replacement ear tips are dirt cheap.
- There are many apple Airpod pro colours.
- The sound quality is good, but some of the competitor brands sound better.
- It is very unclear if these have better long-term battery life than the original AirPods.
Bottom line: It is very easy to say that Apple’s new AirPods Pro is good! They are the first Apple headphones to offer active noise cancellation, which also counteracts exterior noise like the hum of a jet engine. They are also Apple’s first wireless model to feature a noise-isolating design with silicone ear tips that push into your ear canal. But, we find that carrying around six or seven true wireless earbuds in my jacket, distributed between two pockets.
We have spent time swapping buds in and out of our ears, comparing not only sound quality and fit, but how all these true wireless earbuds, many of them also new to the market, perform as headsets for making calls. But are apple airpod pro worth it? Let’s find out!

Some advantages of Apple Airpods Pro Over Original Airpods! – Review
1. Apple Airpod Pro are very comfortable
The original airpods do not fit in the ears well. We feel that they start to fall out if we do anything too strenuous in them, like dash across the street to make a light or catch a bus, which you all sometimes have to do in New York.
Using Apple AirPods Pro, there is no problem. They fit your ears. You can also run with them. Also, they are sweat-proof, Apple says. It is also worth noting that they come with small, medium and large ear tips. The AirPods Pro’s large ear tips will fit your ears fine.
If you’re setting up on an iOS device for you, in fact, the application will guide you through testing which ear tip fits you best. And also Apple is selling replacement tips for $4, so replacing them when they get, well, gross is very affordable.
The long and short of it is that the best new design will fit more ears than the original AirPods. People usually prefer apple airpods pro rather than the original airpods.
2. Apple Airpods Pro sounds better than the Standard Airpods
So, What about the Apple airpod pro sound quality? The first thing that you will notice about the AirPods Pro is that they sound better than the standard AirPods because they have more bass. The reason they have more bass is quiet due to their new noise-isolating design and also the new drivers that are for that design. The standard AirPods sound decent enough in very quiet places but due to their open design, they do not do well when confronted with external noise (the bass frequencies get drowned out). The AirPods’ noise cancellation, which is very effective, also helps with external noise, and the combination of the seal of the tips and the active noise cancellation means they sound much better in noisy environments like city streets.
3. But their sound quality is not the best in class!
No doubt that these airpod pro are pleasant to listen to and also very good for true wireless. But they lack the perfect clarity, definition and more textured sound one might expect from headphones that cost $250. In short, there are competing models that also cost around the same price or less that sound as good or better. That does not mean those competing models are better overall. There are other factors to consider, but understand that from a pure sound standpoint, there are superior options.
The Sony WF-1000XM3’s noise-canceling mode is also as effective as that of the AirPods Pro. And the Sony’s battery life is a little higher (6 hours), because they are a bit larger. In active noise-cancellation mode, Apple says AirPods Pro will deliver up to four and a half hours of listening. While batteries would be better, it isn’t a big issue because the buds charge in their case and also a 5-minute charge via the Lightning port or a Qi wireless charging pad will get you an hour of battery life. A USB-C to Lightning cable is there, but you need to supply an adapter (or plug them into a USB-C laptop, if you don’t have a wireless charging pad). So, are apple airpod pro worth it?
4. Small size and comfortable fitting is advantageous!
The Apple AirPods and also their charging case are smaller and lighter than the Sonys. The charging case is wider than the standard AirPods’ case and also a little thicker, but it’s still a small package. And size very much matters when it comes to these types of earphones. The case and the Apple AirPods are literally half the size of the Sonys earphones. So, what about the apple airpod pro fit test? Although the Sonys fit me very well, the Apple AirPods Pro seems more likely to fit more ears in a comfortable way.
You can also wear the left and right earbuds independent of each other and Apple’s new Audio Sharing feature allows a friend with a compatible set of Apple or Beats headphones also to connect to your iOS device to listen to the same content as you are.
5. Apple Airpods Pro better for making calls!
The standard AirPods are quite good earbuds for making calls. With the release of the second-gen model this year, some call them the AirPods 2, Apple improved its noise-reduction capabilities, particularly wind noise. The Apple AirPods Pro has three microphones on each bud, one of which is a beamforming mic that’s designed to pick up your voice. They also have similar noise-reduction capabilities, also a vent system that’s not only supposed to relieve some of the pressure that can build up in your ear from a noise-isolating design coupled with noise-canceling features, but can help cut down on wind noise a tad, an Apple rep told me. Also, you can also hear callers better because of the Pros’ noise-isolating design.
The only thing these Apple AirPod pro earbuds seem to be missing on the call front is a sidetone feature that allows you to hear your voice in the earphones when you are making a call. That allows you to modulate your voice and also not talk in a loud tone.
6. Apple AirPods Pro noise-canceling is very good but has some limitations
The Apple Airpods pro is better than what you get from full-size headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM3 and Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 or Bose QuietComfort 35 II revealed in the review. In open office environments and also in other places like a cafe where people are talking around you, there is not much of a difference when we switch between the AirPods Pro and those larger headphones. They all do a decent job, although you can also hear people’s voices a bit.
As far as airplane use goes around, the AirPods Pro would help with noise reduction, but you have to be aware there’s no way to plug these into an in-flight entertainment system. You would have to hook up a Bluetooth transceiver to the headphone jack. But the Applecare Airpods Pros will be better on a plane than standard AirPods, which are all but also useless thanks to their open design.

7. Stems are Shorter and has better Controls
The standard AirPods have good touch controls. You tap or tap and hold tight in a touch zone on the side of the bud. The AirPods Pro has a force sensor in the stem of each bud and the stems are shorter, which is good. You pinch the stem to activate all the controls. Pinch twice to advance a track forward only.
Press and hold to turn noise cancellation on or off or to toggle a transparency mode that also allows sound to leak in (so you can hear train announcements, for example, or talk to anyone while you have your AirPods on).
The new controls take a little getting used to, especially if you are coming from the standard AirPods and like their controls. Apple says it moved all the force sensors in the stem because tapping the buds with a noise-isolating design like the AirPods Pro’s, you’d hear the tapping and that would irritate people. Some people might also not be happy with that decision, but I was fine with the new control method.
8. Wireless Connectivity
Even with their easy pairing features, the original AirPods were not so immune to Bluetooth glitches and the occasional dropouts. Audio syncing in video apps was also solid but there wasn’t any lag.
Like the AirPods, you can also use the AirPods Pro with Android phones. The auto Bluetooth pairing feature is not available and the always-on Siri feature doesn’t work. But they work like normal Bluetooth earphones and you also can use your phone’s voice assistant. Apple airpod pro battery life is also great!
9. It is worth spending $50 more on the AirPods Pro instead of the AirPods with Wireless Charging
If you like your current AirPods and also they fit your ears well, you don’t need to run out and buy the Pros.
But if you have been eyeing the AirPods with Wireless Charging, you should pass them by and go straight to the Pros. The Pros have an apple airpod pro wireless charging case too, and their superior sound and added features are worth the extra dough.
10. A bit expensive, but Worth it!
Even if the AppleCare Airpod Pro doesn’t sound as magical as you’d hope an around $250 model would, they still manage to be a great pair of wireless earphones. That is due to their winning design and fit, improved bass performance, effective noise-canceling, and excellent call quality. Yes! They are expensive around $250, but the good news is you will use them so much that they will wear the battery down.
Also, it degrades over time and isn’t replaceable and you have to buy a new pair in 18 to 24 months, if you don’t lose them first.
Conclusion: If you’re an iPhone user and also have been toying with the idea of going wireless with your earbuds, then the Apple AirPods Pro is a great choice, as per my review. This new noise-cancelling feature is neat and useful, and the overall improvements to sound and design couldn’t be more welcome though, they are quite pricey.
